Zion Israel Update: Zion Staff in Israel

October 9, 2023

Dear Zion Shareholders and Supporters,

In these difficult times, it is paramount for us to keep you informed about the situation of our staff in Israel.

First and foremost, we are relieved and grateful to report that all our staff in Israel continue to remain safe. Our Israeli staff have conveyed their heartfelt gratitude and stated how palpably they feel your prayers and unwavering support.

It is also noteworthy to mention that one of our valued team members has been called up for reserve duty in Israel. Additionally, several of our staff have close family members who have been called to serve. The challenges and uncertainties they face during this period are significant, and we ask that you join us in earnestly praying for these families and reading Psalm 20 out loud. Why Psalm 20? Known for reciting during trouble, many leaders and rabbis of the Jewish community have asked this Psalm be prayed at this time.

Psalm 20 (NKJV):

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
The name of the God of Jacob defend you;
May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;
May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah

May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!

May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.

Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.

These words remind us of the faith we place in the God of Israel during these trying times and the unyielding hope we hold for HIS Purposes.

Your continued support and prayers are immensely appreciated. Thank you.
