Go Forward (Exodus 14:15)

Go Forward (Exodus 14:15)

To Zion’s family and friends:

The Geophysical Institute of Israel (GII) has started field operations to acquire our new seismic program in our Megiddo Jezreel License (No.401). We hope that all seismic lines will be completed by the end of August. The data will then be computer processed by both GII and Eskaton Seismic and interpreted by Zion’s team of geologists, geophysicists, and outside geoscience consultants.

This process will then allow us to select the first, and best, possible drill site on our license. Also, we have already begun working with GeoProspect (Israeli geological, environmental, and planning company) to complete our environmental/drilling permit. So, both the new seismic process and the permit to drill the Megiddo-Jezreel #1 well are moving forward concurrently.

We are very optimistic and hopeful that with God’s help we are expecting and praying that if both of these programs are completed and approved by the various Israeli authorities then we may be ready to sign a drilling contract by March/April of 2015 or before (see update on prayer requests). http://www.zionoil.com/updates/prayer-requests-from-john-brown-ceo-zion-oil-gas

We can in no way guarantee that all activities will be completed as expected. However if they are completed then we should be ready to drill our next well (Megiddo-Jezreel #1) by midsummer of 2015. This is our current stated goal and all of Zion’s team is working very hard and together (Psalm 133) to “Go Forward” as instructed (Exodus 14:15) to accomplish our goal.

I am personally being spiritually renewed and I am very optimistic about our upcoming well. This long wait has been somewhat caused by new government regulations, including new environmental and safety requirements, but Zion has long been compliant and obedient to the Israeli authorities and their laws. While we didn’t want to wait this long we had no choice, so we have tried hard to be patient (James 1:3).

Of course, occasionally we still hear some negative remarks from a few people like:

  • “Zion can’t be successful because so far they haven’t been”
  • “They don’t have enough money. It’s only a matter of time until they go broke”
  • “Look at their stock price”

Nevertheless, I say and respond by quoting Psalm 31: 19, 20, 24 to them.

And on and on it goes. But you know I heard all that when I first began in 1981 and during this “Faith journey” of 33 years, of how impossible it was for us to create a company to go to Israel and find oil. But my trust and Faith is still in God and His promises to Israel (Acts 27:25). So, I’m not going away or stopping until I see the oil flowing and the prophecy fulfilled (Hebrews 11:1).

In closing, a lot of negative remarks have been said over the years about Israel and Zion alike. God promised Israel to be back in the land, and until 1948 they waited. Then on May 14, 1948 it happened. He also promised they will stay in the Land and not be removed (Amos 9:14, 15) and this too will happen (Psalm 94:14). However, they still need your support and prayers during these times and difficult period. However, in the end they will win (Deuteronomy 7:6) and because we have supported and invested in Israel, Zion Oil & Gas’s shareholders will win too! (Genesis 12:3)

“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men,
but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:5)

Shalom from Dallas,
