During Zion’s Annual Shareholder Meeting in Dallas last week, the Board of Directors approved a proposal for in-well testing at our Elijah #3 well in the Asher-Menashe License. On April 26, 2013, Zion submitted an application to Israel’s Petroleum Commissioner for a 3rd one-year extension, and we await a response before finalizing plans to re-enter the Elijah #3 well this year.
At the request of John Brown (Zion’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer), Mr. Glen Perry (Zion’s Engineering and Operations Consultant) will be taking a trip to Turkey to look at drilling rigs and drilling service providers for Zion’s future exploration efforts in Israel.
Mr. Perry (M.S. in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas) has over 40 years of experience in the domestic and international petroleum energy field, specializing in project evaluation and development.
While in Turkey, Mr. Perry plans to visit with Viking International, a global service company engaged in oil and gas drilling services, to consider seeking a rig, crew, and associated well site services for Zion’s future drilling operations in Israel.
