Pools of oil?
You may think that oil is found in huge cave-like cavities beneath the surface. You might assume that you just drill a whole and suck it out like a straw in a soda. After all, it is called an “oil pool” isn’t it?
This concept is completely wrong, but the terminology within the oil business may have led you to think erroneously. It is called an oil pool, even by oil people, but oil is not found in a pool.
