Zion Oil Applies for Joseph Exploration License
Caesarea, Israel - June 26, 2007 - Zion Oil & Gas, Inc. (Amex: ZN), of Dallas, Texas and Caesarea, Israel, announced today announced today that, on June 26, 2007, Zion filed an application with the Israeli Petroleum Commissioner for a petroleum exploration license, tentatively denominated the Joseph License, on approximately 85,000 acres south of Zion's 78,800 acre Asher-Menashe License. The original term of the license applied for is three years, extendable to seven years in accordance with the terms of the Israeli Petroleum Law, if required. Zion Oil to Release and Reapply for the Ma'anit-Joseph License.
Caesarea, Israel - June 21, 2007 - Zion Oil & Gas, Inc. (Amex: ZN), of Dallas, Texas and Caesarea, Israel, announced today its strategic decision to release and reapply for the Ma'anit-Joseph License. The decision was taken following results of testing in the Ma'anit # 1 well workover, evaluation of the mechanical condition of the well and the desire to optimize drilling operations on the planned Ma'anit-Rehoboth # 2. Specifically, the Company resolved to (1) discontinue further operations on the Ma'anit # 1 well; (2) relinquish the 98,100 acre Ma'anit Joseph License, a step which under Israeli law is required following the discontinuation of operations on the Ma'anit # 1 well; and (3) immediately after, apply for a new three-year license to cover approximately 85,000 acres including both the Ma'anit structure and the Joseph prospect. The application will include a proposed time table for drilling of the Ma'anit-Rehoboth # 2 well. Representatives of the company have already had preliminary discussions with the Israeli Petroleum Commissioner regarding the above and reasonably expect that the application will be acted upon by the Petroleum Commission no later than October 2007.

Zion Oil Announces Results of First Tested Formation in the Ma'anit #1 Well Workover.
Caesarea, Israel - June 18, 2007 - Zion Oil & Gas, Inc. (Amex: ZN), of Dallas, Texas and Caesarea, Israel, announced today that its geological and engineering team have completed its analysis of the test results of the first of four zones in the upper Triassic which had been identified as potentially productive and selected for testing during the remedial workover and completion operations on the Company's Ma'anit #1 well. The results of the tests indicated that the tested zone is non-productive. Based on this result, it was determined to re-evaluate the well's future, considering the well's mechanical condition and the presence of positive indications of hydrocarbons deeper in the Triassic and closer to the determined hydrocarbon source rock. The Company's technical team is currently evaluating the findings, in order to optimize operations on the next well, the Ma'anit-Rehoboth #2, so that the difficulties encountered in the Ma'anit #1 wildcat well will be avoided and the next well's full potential exploited. The team is preparing recommendations for the company's consideration. When the Company reaches a decision on these matters, an announcement will be made.
